USS Georgia (BB-15) in dry dock, date is sometime between 1906 and 1909. When the cruise of the Great White Fleet ended at the beginning of 1909, she received a refit where her pole masts were replaced with cage masts.. but the pole masts are still present in this picture. There was a brief refit in September 1907 where she was in drydock prior to the Great White Fleet cruise. It could also have been taken during the shakedown / fitting out phase in 1906.

HMS Perseus was a Colossus-class light fleet aircraft carrier built for the Royal Navy during World War II. The ship was initially named HMS Edgar, but she was renamed in 1944 when the Admiralty decided to convert her into an aircraft maintenance carrier.

USS Midway(CV 41) is currently a museum ship in San Diego CA. Over 1,000,000 visitors board Midway every year making he the number 2 maritime museum in the World. Only the USS Arizona(BB 39) memorial has more visitors.

USS Mason at Boston Navy Yard 1944. The USS Mason (DE-529) was commissioned on March 20, 1944, with a crew of 150 African-American enlisted men and six officers. The vessel was part of the Evarts-class destroyer escort, with the responsibility of providing protection for other naval vessels in the Atlantic Ocean.

This photograph was taken on 24/01/2005 (24th of January) in the Royal Canadian Navy base at Halifax, during a four day visit to the base with 6th Assault Squadron Royal Marines, after which she conducted Cold Weather Trials in the North Atlantic in Placentia Bay, just off Newfoundland.
