Our server fees have been paid and we are good for another year, well done to all that contributed

**Update April 6th, 2025**

As I am too bloody lazy to write a new script for 2025 I am tweaking last years post for donations. As always we have a shortfall between the amount we need and the money raised from donations and incomes to the site over the past year.

I hope all our members are getting through life with the decorum and suaveness that I know all you reprobates are capable of (for our non-English speakers that's a little sarcasm for the day)

That time of the year has come around again where we check our site finances and gasp as to where has all the money gone when we find moths in the wallet

The donations and subscriptions from Patreon have helped immensely in helping @Bombardier keep the lights on and the riffraff out of our happy little home however, we do have a shortfall in funds that are required to be paid to keep us going.

Costs run at around $5,000+ USD give or take per year so we have done well to cover most of the funding needed

If anyone has any spare change lurking behind the sofa, under the bed or hidden in that special "break glass in case of need" jar then please donate it so we can keep going

Outside of other social media platforms with almost unlimited finances , we are likely one of the few military social sites that still exist. We are dwarfs amongst giants and will only survive if we make it happen. The world is a strange place at the moment and if we can ride this storm, then we can consider ourselves true survivors.

Well, I thought I was. "Your card does not support this type of purchase." I donated recently with no issues - so what happened? Do you have a different link for CC donations? I'd really like to jump in again.

ETA: Called my banks and both denied the charge - seems they both don't like stripe for some reason. (I don't do paypal at all.)

Okay - I'm in! I called the bank with my internet use account again. The CC lady went to school with one of my sisters, (it's a small town) so she was very helpful and got the matter straightened out... finally.

For a bit I thought this might be connected to the ongoing tariff squabble. It might be, but I was able to work around it.
