Question? Pls help to identify this UK army trailer

Would appreciate any help available to identify the name / type of this 2-wheel cargo trailer.

It’s much larger than a Landrover 0.5 / 0.75 ton trailer - we believe it was likely pulled by the AEC Militant, or Matador, etc.

It looks like the original colour under the olive, is a dark blue, so it could have been British Navy…

Afraid I have no idea, but for what it's worth - the Ministry of Supply only existed between 1939 and 1959 so you're presumably looking within that time period.

More than likely post WW2 as it's pressed sheet metal rather than wood

@Gaz is probably spot on with the FV2401 - as it has the square lump on top of the mudguard

You would need to compare the photos with the rear bottom of your trailer as to the hinges and fittings
