Yep, the pics were taken at the Putlos training area, near the Baltic Sea. The training area was already used by the NVA, so that's where the PT-76 comes from.
Curiously enough, that's not a paint job – it's an adhesive foil. Might as well be the future for commemorative "paint jobs". They're easy to fit with little preparation and add far less weight than regular paint. I wonder if this technique could be applied as camouflage some day. So that you'd just have to get the theatre-appropriate foil instead of repainting the whole bloody bird or vehicle come deployment time.
