On July 9, 2018, the first part of the enhanced Forward Presence (EFP) Task Force leaves for its six-month operation in Lithuania. The unit will be transported by rail from Podbořany via Poland to the Lithuanian border. A unit of up to 230 soldiers is a mechanized company from the 41st Mechanized Battalion with Armored Vehicles Pandur, reinforced by engineer platoon, logistic unit and medical element.

On July 9 - 12, 2018, a further year of the military competition called Summer Libavský Special was held. The competition, the organizer of which is the 7th Mechanized Brigade, is intended for three-member patrols from the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic and is qualified for Summer Survival, the ACR International Championship. This year, a total of 7 teams from the 4th Rapid Deployment Brigade, 7th Mechanized Brigade and 13th Artillery Regiment took part in it.

The members of the 1st Task Force eFP Lithuania moved from the base of Rukla in Lithuania to the territory of neighboring Latvia on August 22, where more than ten thousand soldiers from 13 countries participated in the International Namejs 2018 exercise. The exercise took place from 20 August to 2 September 2018 and the Czech unit was composed mainly of members of a mechanized company, which was provided by the support platoon.

The members of the 43rd Airborne Battalion from Chrudim participate in the US Army Base in Hohenfels in International Saber Junction 2018 exercise. As part of the combat activities, a part of the tactical airborne landing in the strength of 1,000 paratroopers took part.
Their task was to fulfill the spectrum of operations in the medium intensity conflict in the designated area. The Czech paratroopers occupied the key terrain and prepared the traps and overcrowding. In co-operation with the ground units of a given state, they had to prevent enemy units from advancing inland when they were in the field. The Saber Junction 2018 International Exercise, held from September 12 to October 1, is attended by over 5500 coalition soldiers, including almost a thousand internationals. The aim of the exercise is to examine the operational capability and readiness of the 173nd US Airborne Brigade in cooperation with Alliance Coalition forces.
