On 23-27 April 2018, the sniper competition will take place at the Bzenec and Libavá Military Grounds shooting range in the Czech Republic. The participation of a two-man team is mainly intended for military snipers, but also the participation of representatives of other armed forces or invited guests was allowed. This year there are less than thirty teams from eight countries, such as Slovenia, Finland, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, France, Poland and others. The main organizer is the 7th Mechanized Brigade of the Czech Army in cooperation with Meopta, Česká zbrojovka and Sellier & Bellot

At the end of April, in the Boletice military camp in Cesky Krumlov, a tactical exercise called the COLD IGLOO 2018 took place. Its aim was to examine the readiness of the Task Force for Land Aviation to carry out tasks within the NATO Response Force. Almost 250 soldiers took part in the exercise, mainly from the 25th anti-aircraft missile regiment from Strakonice.

As part of the certification exercise of the Enhanced Forward Presence unit in Lithuania, which took place in the GACTC ALTMARK Training Area from 5.5. until May 18, 2018, the unit was rated ready for deployment. Under the Battalion Task Force, soldiers from the Czech Republic 41st Mechanized Battalion will operate in Lithuania along with soldiers of the German, Dutch Army and Belgian Army.
