RAF Typhoons arrive in Romania to resume NATO Air Policing Mission
RAF Typhoons from RAF Lossiemouth's IX Squadron arrived in Romania last week to begin the UK's pre-planned NATO Air Policing mission.
Four Typhoons from IX Squadron flew into Mihail Kogălniceanu airbase on the Black Sea coast near Constanta, Romania where they will carry out the NATO Enhanced Air Policing (EAP) mission for this summer's deployment.

Paratroopers from A Company, the 3rd Battalion the Parachute Regiment (3 PARA) conducting Combined Arms Live Fire Exercise (CALFEX) as part of Exercise Joint Warrior.

The Exercise, which was carried out in several locations around Salisbury Plain Training Area (SPTA) involved several other attachments, including Royal Engineers, Artillery, and fire support from 3 PARA’s own Support Company.

F-35B jets to join the fight against Daesh from Carrier Strike Group

UK F-35B Fighter Jets operating from HMS Queen Elizabeth will join Operation Shader in the fight against IS.
This joint RAF and Royal Navy deployment will be the first time UK fighter aircraft are embarked on an operational aircraft carrier deployment since 2010 and will be the largest number of F-35Bs ever to sail to seas.
The renowned 617 Squadron RAF (‘The Dambusters’) will operate the jets to provide tangible and impactful support to counter-Daesh operations in Iraq and Syria.
The first of eight F-35B's from 617 Sqn landed on Royal HMS Queen Elizabeth yesterday ahead of Exercise Strike Warrior.
The CSG21 will set sail next month on its first operational deployment.
