From documents : On the night of 14 september 1943 , F. Semiglazov crossed river Desna near town of Karop. On, 14 september 1943 2 enemy infantry battalions with 12 tanks attacked our bridgehead on western bank , F. Semiglazov with his gun knocked out 2 tanks and killed 25 germans . After his commander was injured , he replaced him and repelled another count-attack with his personal weapons and killed 12 submachinegunners .

Fedor Semiglazov survived the war ,returned to homeland and passed away 24 december 1984

From award document : " On the night of September 22, 1943 near farm Monastyrek , scout Turov crossed Dnieper river under hurricane fire / He was the first to break into the enemy trench, threw grenades at the machine-gun crew, captured a machine gun and opened fire on the retreating fascists. He personally destroyed 27 soldiers and one officer. On the captured bridgehead, he participated in repelling three enemy counterattacks. In hand-to-hand combat, F. D. Turov killed ten enemy soldiers. The scouts held the captured positions until the approach of the main forces.
