I think it's a Gannett (sp?). Can't remember if its radar was used as some form of EW aircraft or if it was for hunting subs like the French Bréguet Alizé though.

Correct, it's a Fairey Gannet. It was in 2 versions, this image is the AEW version. The other was a dedicated ASW aircraft
