Taliban be like: lol no cry more
What a waste of talent. A lot of our new ANA Commandos citizens married strong well educated independent women. Teachers, soldiers, police, doctors, nurses, engineers, biologists, scientists, business owners.......& they want jobs & to work. A real social experiment is about to get underway in Denmark I think.

Lake Band-e Amir, Yakawlang in BamYan Province.

After seeing the unique swimming technique of Afghan males at that lake, if dude with RPG stood too high and fell/flipped the boat they all drown guaranteed.

Very scenic location, shame about the new visitors.

They are part of a 6 or 7 lakes you can see as you fly over the Kindu Kush Mountains in daylight. There is a series of travertine dams with rapids separating the lakes. Hopefully the talibani know about the rapids before they paddle their swan boats nearby & get sucked over a dam. I hear some of the lakes are 150M deep. Diving there would be awesome......maybe one day.

Today's Qatar charter to Doha had 236 passengers, including Afghans & Citizens from the US, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Canada, France, Italy, UK, Finland & The Netherlands. Still having an issue with some foreign nationals not wanting to talk to us or give their locations [understandable with taliban going door to door] so having to back track thru their respective gov'ts for pickup & driving them to Kabul airport, real time & logistics waster. Some flights still going to Pakistan on PIA but the additional landing fees are getting real pricey. Still have use of Ramp 9 & US State hanger for a reasonable fee in cash [US$ only, Afghani $ are worthless]. Qatar is being real accommodating & if they ever want to join NATO I'll be the 1st speaker on their behalf. Radar is still out but all air traffic is bypassing Afghan airspace so that's good. [all cockpit radar for avoidance in use] 1 more week should be doable unless the US comes up with more folks in hiding. Oct 1 is official deadline for radar fix so anything after that will need to be stealthy if remote pickup evac is needed.

Pretty nice sunrise once you climb above the "feces air" of Kabul.

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attacks in the Afghan city of Jalalabad. Five explosions occurred yesterday and one today. Despite the fact that the targets of the jihadists were Taliban militants, civilians were also affected.
According to IS, thirty-five Taliban fighters were killed or injured in two days of attacks by militants. According to media reports, today three people were killed, about twenty were injured.

Looks like a roadside IED takes out a Taliban vehicle in the video.
