I have two cats who think that rats are the most fun ever. I was getting delivered two or three a day and would regularly see the rats running around in the trees outside the house. Now there are none to be found.

Not 100% convinced about the trade off mind. Nothing like getting up at 0:fart:30 to make the first coffee of the day and stepping on half a rat in the dark.

Pistols of the Chinese Warlords by Ian McCollum of Forgotten Weapons arrived at my house today.

The cover is a pisstake of the habit of some of the Chinese arsenals to ascribe special powers to the markings on European pistols of the time. They would often stamp random Latin characters (upside down wasn't uncommon) to make their pistols look like the real deal.

I'll post a picture or two when I get home as examples.

Two tyres - the TPS kept going off and one had a bloody great big screw in the edge of the tread - about 1 mm off being legal, so time to swap both in time for its MOT at the end of the month
I had two new tyres on the front and those had been moved to the back about 2 years ago - so they had not done too badly as they were on from new in 2016

and a new LG washing machine as the old one seems to try and walk to the door on its own

We get stuff everywhere, but plan is to use less gas, more wood burner this year, so we need a lot more. Still burning our own silver birch, neighbours give us bits, etc.

Would be a lot of work to equal one builders bag.

We will probably burn about 6 bags worth, this winter.

Yes we compost it, with grass, food waste, etc.

Cant burn plastic, would make a mess of the chimney.
