July 28, 2011, a new crop of parachutists completed the training and made its first parachutist jump. For the first time in 22 years, the Mexican Army trained 71 female paratroopers to serve different special and regular combat forces in different specialities.

The jump would take place on the 27th, but due to low visibility, it was postponed to the 28th for security reasons, when it was carried out without incident.
