Question? Where to get old military records

Would you guy’s know where someone would get a hold some a late veteran’s military records?

I am quite curious about my family’s military history. One is was born in Newfoundland Canada and died in Halifax Canada he served in the navy in WW1

The other one born in Cheticamp , Nova Scotia,Canada and died in Cape Breton , Nova Scotia. And he served the airforce WWII

For this WWI search use it soon, there is a note saying they are going to shut it down and I think move it in a few months.
