The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) remotely fires a Mark 38 25mm machine gun while underway conducting its Mid-Cycle Inspection (MCI). From Oct. 9-10, Michael Murphy conducted its MCI, an inspection that takes place every two to three years. The inspection is set in place to bridge the gap between the Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) and is used to inspect and assess the material condition of a ship.

Well aboard ship they also man the TV station..not sure if carriers still have TV stations...what with the advent of internet aboard ships.

seems like on larger ships they would at least shift to a locally hosted news site, which may include video on demand clips
