He was in My Tho, NhaBe, and some other areas in the Mekong Delta from '67 to '68 before getting wounded in action and sent home. He was an engineman/rear .50 gunner on a PBR Mk1 with River Division 53(primarily) Task Force 117 with Operation Game Warden. Bunch of badass sailors on tiny gunboats in the rivers and canals of Vietnam.

I have a bunch of his photos that I will seek to scan and share. Basically this type of stuff(from wiki)
