They've also shut down an oil refinery. Depending upon the level of shutdown, the availability of raw materials, and necessary parts, it will take days or weeks to get it back on line.

Given that many trucks have been destroyed, vehicles left on the highways, distribution centers not just looted but destroyed, and now the damages are going all the way back to the raw material processing plants, I don't see a recovery coming anytime soon. This is also going to have a major effect upon the world economy. SA provides much of the world's key industrial raw materials, including chromium, manganese, vanadium, etc, as well as gold, diamonds, etc.
