KALEKALIP Weapon Introduction 2021

KALEKALIP was established in Istanbul in 1969 to produce molds used in the production of ceramic floor and wall tiles. In the 1970’s KALEKALIP utilised its precision molding capabilities in the production of molds for parts used in the G3 infantry rifle. In 1987, KALEKALIP improved its system production, testing and integration capabilities by participating in the Euro Stinger Project.

Also, I think they got the 25% production tender for MPT weapons. They also produce the KCR 556, the main weapon of the gendarmerie. Uniquely, they also produced the first domestic infantry rifle, the "Mehmetçik 1". But the government chose the MKE-made MPT-76. Mehmetçik 1 was literally copy of HK 416.

According to the news, with the introduction of the T-129A/B ATAK helicopters in sufficient numbers (55th of them has just delivered) Turkish Army Aviation Command is gonna transfer it's 10 units of airworthy AH-1W Super Cobra helicopters to Turkish Naval Aviation which probably gonna used on Anadolu Class LHD. The Super Cobras Turkish Army has were ex-USMC choppers therefore they already have coated body and navalized avionics so that makes them very efficent for Turkish Navy use without any additional modification necessary.
AH-1W Super Cobras in Turkish issue received HEWS laser & IR warning receivers and automatic flare launchers and some of them even got Roketsan UMTAS and Cirit missile modification but given the age of these choppers It would not be surprising that Turkish Navy would request an overall avionic modernization for them. Since TAI already has Cobra modernization solution with the Bahraini AH-1s they have overhauled with new avionics and ASELFLIR. via Deno
