Sorry for the additional post but for the G3s, they are already removed from the operational units service from the mid 2000s onwards with the new rifles such as the MKEK HK-33E for the operational unts like the mechanized infantry, international troops, commandos, paratroopers, marines, border units and the gendarmerie and now with the MPT-76. But it is still issued by less-operational or support units such as the regular infantry, conscripts, military engineers, gunners, reserve units and air force & naval troops. And also speaking for the special forces they were mostly preferred M16 carbine and M4 models over the G3 like their other NATO counterparts and now they are mostly rock'n the HK416A5, Kale KCR-556 and MPT-55 models
And another additional knowledge from the 1969 untill the early 1990s almost 900,000 G3 rifles were produced by MKEK for the Turkish military. Its funny to see how overall population of the military has shrinked on contarary of the population increase after from the cold war...
