What US companies are they going through?

I think Donald Trump has officially opened up the bids. He has openly admitted a US oil player would do it for them...I mean...this is'nt a fake news media thing, he openly said it. As for gas, CONOCO is an American company I think.

French Total and Italian ENI have been discussing about possible further exploration and deals with the legitamate syrian government.

Of course if the US would stand by the Kurds as a people, there would be something to discuss on the revenues from the oil fields, but your government let the Kurds down and sent them in the arms of the Russians (who secured a deal for them with Turkey). However, American soldiers will put their life at risk not to save an ally, not to protect American citizens, but to permit a US operator to drill and sell...giving some royalties back...to people who are not allowed to access their own natural ressources.

I expect him to have been living in a very luxurious mansion right next to a Pakistani military base. And somehow everyone just missed that until it was politically expedient to kill him. Oh well

Make up your mind! You're upset if the US leaves Syria and you're upset if the US stays in Syria. LOL!

I don't know what it is that you don't understand? The US does not want ISIS, Iran, Syria, Russia, etc., to profit from the oil. The US has no issue with the Kurds profiting from the oil. Simple as that.
I am not angry for anything. Sorry if my posts are looking like that.
The issue is that your policy is not consistent in the time....
You leave the kurds to be bombed because there is only sand, endless war, bring the boys back(tm)
Then, no redeploy in Irak so no boys back
Then redeploy and possibly send more around oil fields so finaly there something else than sand

To sum it up, your administration abandonned ground allies to be slaughtered by Turkey backed AQ offsets and other fundamentalist groups you are supposed to fight under the GWOT
5 days later your administration 'makes up its mind' and tryti settle a ceasefire that gives the agressors everything they want, justifying might is right.
Then your boys are redeployed in Irak (so what is the difference to have them stay where they were before again, 150 km maybe ?. They are still on hot zone anyway)

And you 'secure' oil fields with a parr of these soldiers that were supposed to be back home. Still inside Syria. Fields that dont belong to USA but to the Syrian Arab Republic as long as the country no matter , how despicable is the regime, is still recognized in his international borders.
In order to have oil exploited by US companies for the benefit of god knows who, you are putting soldiers at heavy risk for oil, the same soldiers that were supposed to come home, oil that in any case doesnt belong to you and on which you have no right at all.

Your administration on this one is coming down as backstabbing, oil greedy, liar
As i said, wonderful propaganda tool given on a plate to anybody (from small political tools to nations) who would want to oppose you.
You will see this Potus45 action rear its head more than once in the coming years
There are always consequences, even if delayed, when you play foul on international policy.
You were warned about this for the Kosovo 99, GW2 2003, intervention in Syria outside any legal demand and int law in 2014. This is another premisse in the book of your competitors that will be used in a "whatabout, USA did it, why not us" way

The Syrian Kurds are Syrian, no? Don't worry, I've heard no plans to invade countries for their water. You're just being silly.
The oil in Syria is in the South West, which is not part of traditional areas of the Kurds .. whose main territory in Syria is in two enclaves of north west and North east Syria

Unless you are the presidents toupee, your not going to hear of any plans.

Ok, the DNA spoke and YOU. Are. The. Father!

Also, it seems he was located very very close to Turkey.

Turkey is claiming they had knowledge and participated in the operation, which has been denied by both the US and Russia. Interesting fact: Russia has been notified of the operation, but not Turkey.

Syria oils field are southern of Raqqa (central eastern Syria) and Deir Ezzor (Eastern Syria).
These fields are southern of the kurdish controled area. There are fields in the northen eastward corner, close to the Iraki border and under kurdish controle.
But the US troops are supposed to be deployed around Deir ezzor so, yes ,nothing related to thr kurds

Bagdadi killed in Idlib...wait a minute, wasn't that where our heroes the FSA, courageously fighting ISIS keeping Al-Qaeda at bay, were based? hmmm....

Hiding in plain sight is, usually, pretty efficient.

Is it likely the FSA was aware of Abu's presence in the area? I'm having trouble believing that, but if it was indeed the case that would imply a huge intelligence failure.

An entertaining press statement as ever :D

Two terrorist leaders killed in as many months. After the things he said about AB when Trump spoke about Hamza bin Laden I was just waiting for him to say something to the extent of "He wanted to be like his dad, so we granted his wish."

Pity the only available channel here was CNN so I didn't see the Steam banner in the top left corner saying "Achievement unlocked - Vanquisher of Evil - Killed two Khalifs with extreme prejudice"
