We're a very diverse society & therefore military. It's considered bad form to refuse a kiss from anybody while on parade march. I get a fair share of all including a lot of grannies.
Well, what can I tell you, the Legion is a very well-trained and respected force where it has gone to fight, leaving behind a trail of courage, courage and pride, but if the uniforms seem too fitted to me, they must be the most uncomfortable to march in a parade or in a ceremony, nothing like comfort

Basically our fundraising through the year has raised 80% of our needs however, we need a small kick to get us over the line for the next 12 months.
If you can spare the price of a coffee we will be set.
Galerna (S-70/Agosta)-class diesel-electric attack submarine Tramontana (S-74) conducting training with the Spanish Naval Special Warfare Force operators, 2017.
Yes. Spanish Navy special forces unit FGNE already did some time ago. Then two contracts for HK-416A5 were signed (2022 & 2023) for the Marine Infantry.
Units of the BRIMAR (Brigada de InfanterÃa de Marina) already supplied and converted to the HK416 are slated to be deployed to Romania in October if IRC (to join the French lead NATO Battlegroup of the EFP there).
The first contract for the Spanish Marine Infantry also included some HK-417 20" and grenade launchers HK GLM A1. Then last year a second contract for more HK416, HK417 & GLM was signed. It seems that the G-36 family will be slowly phased out by the Spanish Marine Infantry over the next few years.
At the moment there is no news about a similar move by the Army.

As far as I know, Stanag 4179 remains a "draft stanag". It is still at the discretion of each member country whether to adopt it or not. Although most NATO member countries have adopted it, there are still some that have not.
Spanish Army Chinook F doing Chinook things... November 2023. Photo: Spanish Army.
Photo of a Chinook "Foxtrot" from the Transport Helicopter Battalion V (BHELTRA V) of the Army Airmobile Force (FAMET) taken during internal and external load training exercises (single and double) between the personnel and means of the BHELTRA V and units of the San Marcial and Castillejos Divisions of the Spanish Army. Sling loaded in the pic are a Falcata Mule (MM-1A2 Mk.2) from the Parachute Brigade and a L-118 Light Gun (from the same unit, probably).
This Chinook 'F' (ET-426) is one of eighteen "Foxtrot" purchased to replace the former seventeen "Delta" previously assigned to BHELTRA V. The last "Delta" in service (ET-419), was decommissioned last April. Almost all of the Foxtrot contracted have already been received by the Spanish Army.
