Reaction Force Division (RFD) 'marines' patrolling an island or area along the Mozambican coast during their annual Ops Copper deployment to the region

South Africa's principal special operations unit and counter-insurgency elite, specialising in long-range combat reconnaissance as well as unconventional airborne operations.

Rooivalk attack helicopter. Mass production was shelved due to the end of the Cold War, but a squadron of 12 were manufactured and 11 units remain in service. They have been deployed in combat to the DRC since 2013.
