The bad news is your dentist will have to charge a bit more to pay for all the fun he had on vacation. I feel your pain with dentist visits - I'm a frequent flyer there myself. The good news is the surgeon did a good job on my knee, he had to do a knee arthrocentesis which is a minor surgical procedure to aspirate synovial fluid from the knee joint. Three full and large enough needles, some slight blood in it too, making him wonder if I hurt myself against a table or something. Then he did the cortisone injection. Oof.
Not the most pleasant experience I’ve endured but the nurse was kind enough to look at me in the eyes telling me to relax, after all I’m relieved now anyway.
Bad news is dentist is on vacay until late April because of the French equivalent to spring break. Maybe he’ll enjoy Ibiza or Cancun in a pool while my cavity will deteriorate?
Rodent/auto problems here stem from the two walnut trees in my yard. Squirrels think cars are their savings and loan place. Neighbor across the street who doesn't drive his pickup much looked after a problem like you describe to find nearly a bushel of walnuts stuffed everywhere they shouldn't be. They also like to chew wires! My car had been coughing a bit when accelerating. Decided to start from the easy end and bought new filter. Noticed that two mice had nested and died in the filter box... Problem solved. Also need to add some net to prevent more from making their home there.

Hope not too much damage on your end. You know you live in a typhoon belt when my first reply was “you dont have generators?”Leftover bits of a tropical cyclone started to hit town yesterday. Lost power to the house at 20:30 when a dead tree came down on the lines nearby, supposedly we're getting it back lunchtime-ish. Meanwhile I'm at the office while the wind howls, drinking a nice hot cup of coffee.
Not familiar with them but I kinda grasp the concept, would the creek be enough? Most houses here due to being close to hell and the sun are investing on Solar power with battery back up. My plan for my house is that and maybe a smaller gas generator as back up for bad situations.Tell the truth @Junglejim I've been most tempted to put in a micro hydro generator to take advantage of the creek that flows past my house.
hmm that could work and then just have a back up gas generator. My house is very (very) poorly situated for solar, but I've seen micro hydro in action - my dad's farm uses it. During summer it wouldn't be much use as the creek tends to dry up, but in autumn/winter it could probably generate a decent amount of power. Biggest problem would be getting planning permission - if I told the council that is.
