Other Post So, how was your day?

Welcome to the world of knee problems.
Take PT very seriously. Was the surgery done as outpatient?

I now have a titanium knob and two large holes in fibia and temur.
Surgeon said he drilled holes sized for a crucial ligament of a rugby player šŸ˜…
Was pretty tedious to get going again but I worked hard and tried always what was possible. I even did a long walk two days after surgery outside the hospital ward on crutches.

But as a general advice only do the full knee replacement if really necessary.

My father in law has had huge problems with artificial knee and hips replaced way to early in his 40s.

A friend in the U.K., was made to wait to age 60, to get his knees replaced. Presumably itā€™s very difficult to do them again.

Was off Sun / Mon did my usuall headed to Gourock ...

On the Sunday got up early to head to Paisley to get an early train arrived before 8am . On the schedule said 8.03am for Weymess Bay to get off at Inverkip n cycle up . That will do me then when i got to the platorm . They cancelled the train lol . So had to wait on Gourock .. 9.15 arrived there , Sainsburys for munchies then headed to the cloch ..sat there all day

Did the same Monday

though on the train back ...Some chap got on ...sat across from who proceeds to tell me about winning a game of tennis after 15 yrs of not playing . He also said he was in Special forces , shot 4 times . When the female Conduct appeared he proceeded to say the same also to her . And about his time in Norway with American Marines .. to her about them using the SA80 .

He was also talking about his Son ...being a tennis player to her , his name being .. ....... Dickson .

Seems to be true, as I was mentioning about my mother two months ago in a clinic for physical rehab, and those old, near 90 ladies replacing theirs hips or knee again had a rough time.

Speaking of these old ladies theyā€™re quite a trip. When I was visiting my mother a few weeks ago one of her disabled, aging friend told fairly bluntly to a black paramedic ā€œall my life I had dreamt of being banged by a black guy.ā€

Literally translated. Poor guy kept quiet and quickly walked to the elevator.

For 3 days I have been plagued with computer problems after the power company did one of those quick resets, switch on switch off but a little faster than that I believe. I had to completely re format 2 drives on one of my windows 10 units that was running, this one I am using now was also running but just idling with nothing happening. It took the entire day to re install everything for that first machine. Now lately I have a very big problem with this machine I use everyday booting very slow and even after getting the desktop up it is slow about allowing any work to begin until it finally gets enough resources. I started with removing my anti virus because I saw about 6 copies of it running in task manager. Naturally it screwed the pooch and gave me a hard time just reinstalling it. I kept getting one of those Can't install to this operating system prompts. It took me about an hour to find the fix, the installer had something wrong with it and the parent company provided a fix link. Got it running again finally and I will tackle that slow boot tomorrow but I am not keeping much faith that it can be fixed with this system. Funny thing is most of the time my programs work just fine. There simply is too much BS trying to run with no reason. Not forget my cat friends, my little tiny Black kitten with white booties left three nights ago and no where to be found. Not coming home to eat usually means it is gone. Felt really bad for that little one, he was an orphan like two others I still have in the hallway. He was just beginning to out grow the other 4 and looked like a good future for it. Now that makes 3 Siamese and the Black one gone. I shut the vanity door under the bathroom sink so these other 4 can't go out at night. I will wait until they are large enough to defend themselves. 3 nights ago I opened my bedroom door to the hallway and I had a large Possum and a very Large Racoon standing there eating the dry cat food. They acted a little froggy but I booted them on out. Got lots of rain coming over the next few days so it is cooler. Getting up early to feed cats then I have coffee and go shop before the rain comes, hopefully. After shopping I am just about spent for the day, I take a long nap and rest really good. Been working on my little 2D top down Tank Game lately time permitting and it is beginning to be a lot of fun. I have had this engine for around 7 years and still haven't had any luck making the AI of the enemy or player Tanks to not run over one another. There are a few behaviors that are supposed to help but so far I just get one shoving the other tank until it finally decides to turn another direction. Soon as I get it finished to the point it has no real bugs I will try and make a copy for anyone that wants it, Got the spawning of objects down pretty good. It has become one of those trial and error things but pays off really well when it works like it should. I am looking into using chrome to record the game while I play it, maybe I will be able to post something.

Danke, freund and yeah I wonā€™t mess around, for the better I was an outpatient and out of the hospital the day I got in.

Iā€™m taking PT and hygiene seriously so Iā€™ll be in good hands, first and foremost some rest and walking is still possible on shorter distance for now.

As you can easily figure out, vacay will have to wait a bit for me, but my time will come. Thanks for sharing those scenic, tropical photos for us poor bastards that likely may never made it there, Jimbo.

Its cheaper than you think. Bit far off than say Brussels but judging by the amount of Germans, all with reach.

I could probably do a quick breakdown for you.
I was hoping youā€™d ask about the titanium knobā€¦..

Food looks nice!
An opportunity missed.

As for the food, would have to say it was the best in the Island and the Fish tacos are the best I have ever tasted in my travels. Resto is german owned.

Paramedics hear the weirdest S**t from their patients. I once had a dwarf hitting on me.

De rien mon ami!

Today I worked OT half day. Got some sun in the yard. Cooled down with a popsicle. Hour nap, tonight, doing 80's nostalgia movie night (Robocop and The Terminator). So an OK Sunday.

I'm also into 80s nostalgia my teen son now gets introduced into the 80s. We watched Alien 1 (Masterpiece IMHO), Planes, trains automobiles, and Beverly hills cop 1.

So far he likes my excursions...

Iā€™d have a shitload of movie to recommend, any of which youā€™ve probably watched before - starting with Predator, The Fugitive, True Lies, Falling down, Basic Instinct, Usual Suspects, L.A Confidential, Twelve Monkeys.

To name a few, if you need to keep busy on Sunday evening my friend.

Im now up in the boonies on the southern islands. Beer situation was bad at 7pm, so had to run to the nearest small village in pitch black in the middle of no where screaming ā€œwhoā€™s gonna carry the beerā€

I think i scared the guy in the store more than me running in the dark
