Callie, a 26-month-old Dutch shepherd, is one of the newest additions to the 123rd Special Tactics Squadron in Louisville, Ky. She is the Kentucky Air Guard's first member of the 123rd Search and Rescue K-9 program, making her the only search and rescue dog in the entire Department of Defense.

KP Indi – DeKalb County Police Dept.
K9 Indi was shot in the face and lost an eye during a traffic stop that left Dekalb police officer, Edgar Flores, dead. After the suspect killed Flores, the suspect then ran again before opening fire on K9 Indi, which had tracked him down.

On the morning of July 12, 2018, 90-year-old Rafael Lopez went missing in Hutto, Texas. Local police and the Williamson County Sheriff’s office immediately started an extensive aerial & ground search for Mr. Lopez. As temperatures rose to well over 100 degrees that July day, so did the danger that Mr. Lopez could succumb to his medical conditions. After an extensive 7 hours aerial and ground search, K9 Max and Deputy Bell were brought in to help find Mr. Lopez. K9 Max quickly found Mr. Lopez’s scent during he and Deputy Bell’s scouting search and was able to lead deputies directly to Mr. Lopez. Mr. Lopez was found on the ground in the middle of the field. He was dehydrated and barely able to move.
