Harrier GR.3 aircraft of 1 Squadron parked alongside Royal Navy Sea Harriers and a Sea King helicopter on the flight deck of HMS Hermes on 19 May 1982, the day that 1 Squadron joined with Hermes in the South Atlantic. The Sea Harrier FRS.1 differed from the RAF's GR.3 in having extensive corrosion- proofing, a cockpit that was raised to provide the pilot with a better view, and a multi-mode radar called Blue Fox, which could search for targets in the air or on the sea

Ships taking part in UNITAS exercises off Brazil included the helicopter carrier Atlantico A140 (former HMS OCEAN L12 transferred in June 2018), frigate Liberal F43 and amphibious ship Bahia G40 (former French Navy Siroco L9012 transferred in 2016). August 2019
River monitor Parnaíba (U17), the world's oldest commissioned warship still in active service. 14 December 2020

Australia:
The Australian Light Destroyer was to be a class of small destroyers for the RAN. the project to procure the vessels started in 1966 and would have been Australia's first indigenously designed large surface combatant, but was later cancelled in 1973 as the program became too costly
