Notice the angled deck extension seen on the port deck edge opposite to the island. The ex INS 'Viraat' was also a CATOBAR carrier before she was converted to fly Harriers which proved themselves in the Falklands while she was still HMS Hermes.

USN:
USS Washington's (BB-56) damaged bow after collision with USS Indiana, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, February 1944. The front side of the damage is the main deck bent down.
After becoming a part of Task Group 37.2/Task Group 58.1, Washington escorted carriers as the aircraft attacked Taroa and Kwajalein in late Jan 1944. On 30 Jan, Washington, Massachusetts, and Indiana bombarded Kwajalein. On 1 Feb, while manoeuvring at night, Washington rammed Indiana as Indiana crossed in front of Washington. Both ships were sent to Majuro for temporary repairs. Washington received further temporary repair at Pearl Harbor Navy Yard and permanent repairs at Puget Sound Navy Yard, Bremerton, Washington, United States.
