The Lithuanian Armed Forces announced they have taken possession in 2019 of 400 modified M14s for use by the country’s Army and National Defense Volunteer Forces. The improved guns are built to what the Lithuanian MoD describes as the M14 L1 standard for use as a designated marksman rifle. This includes Czech-made Meoptia ZD 1-4x22mm RD optics with M1A mounts.
