That's a nice blade! I really dig it!

I had misplaced this one and haven't been able to find it for ages. This morning I cam across it by pure luck!
My Eickhorn LL80 "Kappmesser" unfortunately it is not an BUND "Bundeswehr" issued one. but still a nice knife.

I own one of the issue ones but scratched up. In your opinion are these now collectable?

Well, I just had to have one. The premier weapon of the Roman Empire, the Gladius. This is the "Mainz" model named after the area where the original was unearthed. 1065 high carbon steel, extremely sharp. Quite a formidable weapon as used in Roman battle formations. $232 with scabbard, Kult of Athena is the dealer this one is made by Legacy Arms. Amazing to have a part of history in your hands, even if it s a repro.

Laguiole Bougna. A cheap asian copy. I got this as a gift from my sis.....she was ripped off, but I couldn't bring it over my heart to tell her. So it's still in my collection.

Sorry Templar 6, had somehow missed you post! Yes ifnypou have a Bundeswehr issued "Kappmesser" it is definitely collectable. It's hard to tell the value without knowing the beating it has taken, but I would not let it go anyhow. A keeper for sure!!
