Politics Iranian Proxy Conflicts

This is just diplomacy by different means, though. It's been like this for ages. Iran has also warned America in advance when this violent back-and-forth threatened to lead to escalation (like prior to their retaliation over Qasem Soleimani's death).

Besides, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports that at least 18 IRGC members died in Syria alone. Some reports go as high as 30 killed. Sounds like a success to me.
On Tuesday USS Gravely shot down a cruise missile with it's Phalanx CIWS about 1,5km from the ship. This is the first known combat interception of the system.
This was genuinely Phalanx's first interception?

Reports that two B-1s flew all the way from the US to do some work. Another report said 125 bombs. That doesn’t sound too impressive if we are talking iron bombs from a B-1.

And as much as the Chair Force hates them, the Warthogs from West do what they do best. I read that the ones out of Tucson Arizona are involved.

(just for transparency, I have to admit our local Air Guard also flies the A-10.. We love them!)

It's too bad Iran was given a week's notice to remove important people and things.
The US-Iran diplomacy has been entirely one-sided since 1979, but the "democrats" are still in denial.

Yep, publicly known anyway.

Few conflicts of near peer opponents in the last half century and most nation states outside of NATO and the WP barely had any anti-ship missiles. Now Iran and russia are handing out AShM like candy to every terrorist group.

I'd hope the follow up message, is that USA will keep a list of live targets, and one iranian produced drone hits a USA base, then 50 targets gets hit, that night. No warnings, no time to evacuate.

The use of A10 and even F16 has to send the message that the iranian backed gangs dont have any Air defense, and that team USA can do whatever it wants.

Lets see.....

So, as the video above details the B-1 mission, we are told they used JDAMs. 24 JDAMs per bomber equals about five bombers in the strike force, probably some extras came along to make sure. However, many other aircraft could have delivered them as well.

This one is older. But if you jump to about 2:08 there is a good explanation about how the Houthi actions are degrading the Russian ability to profit from oil sales.

Another round of Whack-A-Houthi.

Five sites were hit yesterday by US forces. Three mobile AShM launchers, an unmanned submarine and an unmanned ground vehicle.

The Dutch air-defence and command frigate HNLMS Tromp will be undertaking a trip to the Far East and is expected to spend several weeks in the Red Sea as part of Operation Aspides.

Multi-function support ship HMNLS Karel Doorman might be sent for a longer deployment to provide RAS, command & control and/or medical treatment.

The German Navy has revealed that Hessen used her 76 mm main gun to shoot down what was an attack drone, followed by another drone taken down by a RAM minutes later. Sounds like a targeted attack, and on a vessel which had only just arrived in the region. Where do the Houthis get their target information from, anyway?

What are the odds Russia is helping them, too?

UK ship previosuly used 'a gun'. Sounds to me that we are trying out different systems, to keep the cost down, and maybe they are adjusting threat profiles, to account for slow flying drones, i.e. when within range, you still have x seconds to down them.

I'd assume they have a secondary ready, like CIWS.

The comments are full of RuZzia trolls diminishing the action. Well their own stuff can't hit S**t so they are envious.

RuZzia surely aids them when it sends the trolls out to comment stuff in their usual clunky, cheap and expectable way. So it's on their duty list.

RuZzia prepares a global conflict with it's friends it seems.
