Result... Not perfect but was my first self made Tiramisu.. Next time I have to use less coffee on the biscuits.. It was just good after a long time in the fridge too moist initially..

Smoked trout, simple 50/50 salt , brown sugar sprinkled on flesh the rubbed in. Mopped surface after 2 hours paper towel. Leave to dry a few hours more in the fridge and smoked.

Potato salad; mayo, mustard, gherkins, radishes, celery, capsicum, salt.

I tried home made cream of mushroom soup. (I thought two entire onions as shown was overkill and omitted those.) Prep went well, and it was great! The canned variety seems so bland now. No leftovers! Next time I'll put it on beef tips and noodles.

I was planning it for tonight as sauce with cooked chicken and yogurt instead of cream.

What sort of smoke-wood do you use, smoking temperature and time?

Encouraged by how well the mushroom soup turned out, I tried creamy chicken noodle soup today. Rather than cream, I went with 2% milk & it turned out fine. (The author of this recipe has a real fixation with onions - like more is better. Not me.)

Everybody had multiple servings, and we still have a shitload left over. It was great! :D ,-usa

I make loads of soup and then freeze it. For convenience I bought a soupmaker and absolutely love it - just chuck everything in and it sautés, cooks and blends as necessary and then there's only one thing to clean up at the end, plus you don't need to watch it - throw the stuff in and leave it to do its thing whilst you watch TV.

They`re on offer right now…..just 2,90 € a kg ….So everytime I see fresh mussels (live in Bavaria so not really by the sea ?) I grab them. Were fished somewhere around Denmark.
And I know you should only eat them in months containing an R ?.

Last week there were Nordseekrabben (North sea prawns) on offer - made some nice sandwiches with them.

We have two kinds of mussels, a big green one and a little black one. They farm the green ones, even kill off the small black ones if they grow on the mussel farms. But the black ones are miles better eating and ignore them growing free on the rocks. They look more like the European mussel.
