Garlic festival shooting: Three dead in Gilroy California

A six-year-old boy was among those killed in California when a gunman began firing, seemingly at random.

My thoughts go out to the families of the victims. A terrible event.

The Gilroy Garlic Festival has been held annually since 1979. Christmas Hill Park, where the event was taking place, bans weapons of any kind, according to the festival's website.
