Exercise SYD 1/25, organized by the Nyland Brigade, brought together all branches of defense and the Border Guard for an exercise where conscripts, students, reservists and staff developed their skills together. The focus was on the mortar troops, pioneers, signals and command post platoons, fire control and Border Guard troops, who by practicing together created capabilities to defend our coast.

The exercise "Lively Sabre 25" entity will reinforce concentrating multinational combat power and critical capabilities to the battlefield in the Alliance’s northern area.
The troop improved and maintained their military interoperability and capability with Allies on the practical level.

 

[Conhoon]

The troops received information about the enemy's landing at Pyhtää airport and drifted into fire contact with the enemy. After fierce fighting, the enemy was defeated with the help of the effective cooperation of the Jaegers.
The Lively Sabre 25 is the final exercise for the conscripts who will be returning home in June, and the conscripts' skills have been honed to a good level at this stage of training.
