Overhauls, service repairs, maintenance, supply of spare parts and provision of technical support for the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom helicopters will be provided by the state enterprise LOM PRAHA, which will also operate training simulators in the simulation center at the 22nd base of the helicopter air force in Square. Construction of the H-1 simulation center building began in April last year, and from a construction point of view, the hall was already completed in December. At the beginning of February 2023, the new building was approved. "I would divide the building into two parts. In the first part there are two large halls. In one hall there is a simulator for Viper, in the other there will be Venom later. In the second part, which is smaller, there are, for example, two classrooms, office facilities and two rooms for mission planning," H-1 plant director Milan Obr presented the facility.

The Ample Strike Lite 2023 international air exercise is poorer this year in terms of the number of trainees. But it has lost nothing of its meaning. The jubilee 10th year tested the cooperation of the air force, forward air instructors and ground units. It involved three hundred Czech and six dozen foreign soldiers from four NATO armies – the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland and the United States of America.
The scenario remains unchanged - to coordinate the activities of forward air instructors with aircraft crews and commanders of ground units in an international environment. In total, four teams of advanced air guidance controllers (JTAC - Joint Terminal Attack Controller) carried out over 190 successful guidance on the target, all with the air support of five helicopters, six airplanes and three tankers. The pilots flew over 110 hours. The exercise took place in the Boletice training area, the planes took off from the 22nd base of the Sedlec helicopter air force, Vícenice, from the 21st base of the tactical air force in Čáslav and from the Pardubice airport. In addition to the Czech L-159 Alca aircraft, the German EF-2000 and the A-400 tanker participated in the air operations. The United States sent F-16 fighter jets, AH-64 helicopters and a KC-135 refueling aircraft. The multinational MRTT (Multinational Multi Role Tanker Transport Unit, MMU) contributed an A-330MMU tanker that provided in-flight refueling.
