Three weeks ago, the helicopter base in Náměšt nad Oslavou received the first two American AH-1Z Viper fighters, and on Thursday, August 17, 2023, the Minister of Defense and the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Army officially accepted them for the army at the same place. Helicopters of the H-1 system, which have proven themselves in a number of battles, belong to the world's top. The Czech Air Force will receive a total of 20 machines of the Viper and UH-1Y Venom types, 12 of which are new. It will replace the outdated Mi-35/24V in the Czech army.
