Canadian Army Reservists are participating in Exercise NORTHERN SOJOURN 2019 near Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador running from March 1st to the 9th, 2019. Hosted by 37 Canadian Brigade Group, part of 5th Canadian Division, this ex brings together more than 400 Canadian soldiers along with soldiers from the United States and eight soldiers from the 6th Airborne Brigade of Polish Army.

For 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group, based in Edmonton, it’s the culmination of a year-long training program called The Road to High Readiness. Previously, soldiers completed a number of training exercises throughout the year including, Operations Unified Resolve, Virtual Ram and Ornery Ram, ahead of coming to CFB Wainwright.
