Okay lads, lets play a bit of a game...... It's cold and snowy outside so what else is there to do? It's called "I SPY Scrap Workers on Ark Royal" Looking closely at this dreadful picture of our beloved HMS Ark Royal being scrapped I noticed after awhile there were scrappers (workers) among the torn up ships decks, I began looking closer and closer and I think I've found them all.....Rule: They should be reasonably decernable as human workers not just some fleeting color among the mess (I know that's some loose rules, and I'm bored, so lets play fair)
Lets see if you can find them and match my number = I've found 7
My tired old eyes found 10 but maybe I'm hallucinating ?

Winner winner chicken dinner!! Yes, I submit that there are 3 more workers there I missed that day, Thank You Bravo Zulu!! One of the new finds I am surprised to find is almost on top of one literally that I had initially found and I didn't even see it, the guy is wearing a white shirt or vest and blended right in. I've posted an update photo with my "finds" circled in black.

He is wearing Spurs. He originally joined a mounted cavalry regiment before transferring to the AAC.

Strictly speaking, he never transferred to the Army Air Corps, he was attached to it. He was Blues & Royals throughout his service - hence the spurs (although field rank - OF3 and above - from most other corps in the British army, including infantry, also wear spurs in some orders of dress as historically they rode even if their men marched).

Strictly speaking you are correct, but you knew what I meant... ;)

Trying to figure out Army dress regs is a pointless, thankless task. Although I make it a mission to never be dressed the same as any colleague to wind up the "dress police" wherever I am. Nothing beats watching a SWO or RSM loose their S**t over a hat or hero sleeve. :D
