Russia's legal traditions (like those of France and Germany for example) are based on completely different legal traditions to the Common Law basis of the UK/USA/Australia/NZ/etc.

So yeah, zero f**** given about the laws of Russia. And zero double standards either.

No they didn't. By the time the rape charges were dropped in Sweden, Assange had already settled himself into the Ecuadorian embassy and was .... breaking the conditions of his bail. Not really that complicated.
