Man arrested over military 'murder' in Larkhill
Police investigating a suspected murder in the garrison town of Larkhill, Wiltshire, said both the victim and suspect are members of the armed forces.
A 21-year-old man died on Monday night and the circumstances of his death are being treated as suspicious.
Police arrested a 29 year-old man on suspicion of murder and he is currently in custody at Salisbury Police Station.
The man died in Packway, the main road running through the town, which is home to two Royal Artillery regiments - 14 Regt RA and 32 Regt RA - and the Royal School of Artillery.
Detectives closed the road off to assist with the investigation and an incident room has been set up.
Detective Chief Inspector Sean Memory, the senior investigating officer, said: "I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Larkhill between 10.30pm and 11.15pm last night or who has any information which may assist the investigation."
