UFD (unknown flying drone) menace on the east coast. Same thing happened around here a couple years ago. Drones alone or in swarms were flying all over western Nebr. Rednecks tried to shoot a few down, but law enforcement came out with a strong statement, "Don't do that!!"

Long story short, it was the Air Force at Cheyenne, Wyo doing drone management training at various ranges. over a 99% chance that's what's going on here. And it should be - drone warfare is here to stay, so the US should get up to speed ASAP.

Mike La Franchie’s four-year quest to be the first in Taranaki to spear a marlin came down to 10 frenzied seconds. On Friday, the New Plymouth engineer was several kilometres off the coast of the city with fellow spearfishermen Brendan Wesley and Chris Blain in a 14 foot dinghy towing a marlin lure.
