Bought the Glock 17 1st gen in 1986, still a great piece. Only one fail to extract that I can remember and it was because of an aluminum case, not brass.

There are significantly different availabilities of third-party snap-on pistol braces, depending on what series you've got. I just watched a guy on Friday at a local gun shop get the bad news that his Series 3 would not fit in a particular brace he was going to probably buy.

Sounds like a good excuse to buy an additional Glock! ;-)
