Rather good this

That submersible going to view the Titanic is still MIA. Air supply is dwindling... Even if they're on the surface, they can't get out. Not a good feeling.

German redneck? Sounds improbable, but there you have it!

In my trips to Belgium, I've noticed a lack of pickups - like almost none. As well as I know, it relates to them being considered a commercial vehicle and taxed more. Different story here, of course. Pic was taken at a small militaria expo in La Gleize, Belgium recently.

It's the cost of driving mainly. And the weight of the car and the amount CO2 emissions also impacts taxation.

I came across several gas stations yesterday and the average price was €2,03 per liter. Petrol in Belgium is a few cents cheaper than it is in the Netherlands, but not much. The most recent US figures I could find is from 24 July with a liter costing €0,94.

Whenever the US intervenes in the Middle East and the taxpayers supporting the party not currently in power ask "Why?" while complaining at the same time that petrol prices are so "high".

That's why.
