One of the McDD A-4KU Skyhawks of the Brazilian Navy on board the old French aircraft carrier São Paulo. These aircraft were among the last Skyhawks built, and were acquired by Kuwait. The aircraft were decommissioned in very good condition and with few flight hours, and were acquired by Brazil at a good price.

No,

On 14 February 2017, the Brazilian navy announced the ship's demobilisation and subsequent decommissioning. On 12 March 2021 the carrier was sold to be scrapped. After Turkey rejected permission to dock, the Brazilian Navy scuttled the ship in the Atlantic Ocean on 3 February 2023, some 350 kilometres (220 mi) off the Brazilian coast in 5,000 metres (16,000 ft) of water

A very suggestive shot that marks the passing of the baton between Nave Garibaldi 551 and the new Amphibious Assault Unit Trieste L9890.

With 245 meters in length and a displacement of 37,500 tons, the “Trieste” is the largest ship delivered to the Italian Military Navy since the Second World War, which was when its predecessor, the Regia Marina, was incorporated into its battleships. the Littorio class, which displaced more than 45,000 tons. The new MM ship features a double island structure, similar to that adopted by the British Royal Navy's "Queen Elizabeth" aircraft carriers.

With accommodation for more than 1,000 personnel, a 230-meter flight deck and the ability to support and project a 600-troop amphibious battalion, the “Trieste” is designed to handle a broad spectrum of operations. Its garage deck provides 1,200 linear meters of space for wheeled and tracked vehicles, both civil and military.

The warship is a Multi-Role Amphibious Unit, which provides a mobile base for landing operations and projection of an amphibious force in crisis zones. Its floodable internal dike allows for the seamless deployment of significant forces in any operational environment. Beyond military tasks, its operational versatility allows it to adapt to humanitarian emergencies, making it a vital tool for disaster response.
