C'mon man, how many times, this was a well planned, by the military, and with the full support of the state department exit, I told you it would be tough, but it wasnt anything to do with me.....Pentagon denies dogs being left behind, says dogs were rescue/shelter dogs. Oddly Kabul seems to have a stray dog problem consisting of all well fed shepards ...
I see numbers floating around of roughly 125 dogs left. A parting gift for several hundred families? They get a dog for every couple of families to provide security, the Taliban gets the guns
Or was these President Dementias thoughts upon hearing the word "sheepdog"? He certainly is deranged enough for it.
I'm sure in the final days chaos @ KBL there were several local big dude Afghans that pushed their way thru gates & boarded aircraft but am sure when they arrived at the waypoints without a passport, gate entry pass email printout, green card or si application they will be held separately. We had a pretty specific passenger manifest &/or physically collected them @ outside rally points with the correct codes. There were US vet groups operating out of the terminal that would go out & just grab people at gates without paperwork, not sure what happened to those folks. Wish I'd known about the stranded dogs, damn breaks my heart.
Had a conversation over the weekend with other buddies that have served with Kurdish soldiers in Iraq that have been promised their own Country twice if they helped the US in Iraq. I'd be willing to contact the Kurds & offering them Afghanistan. I think Kurdistan has a nice ring to it.
What the kurds need to do is found a mystic sect, wear pyjamas and go for it......
