The 2nd Canadian Division is currently undergoing rigorous winter exercises, testing the resilience, coordination, and adaptability of soldiers in extreme conditions.
Here are a few photos from various winter exercises that have taken place over the past few weeks!
In March 2025 nearly 375 reservists from the 35 Canadian Brigade Group and the 34 Canadian Brigade Group (2nd Canadian Division) participated respectively in the GUERRIER NORDIQUE and XÉRUS NORDIQUE exercises. Held at Lac Saint-Jean and in Chisasibi, Brigade Groups members trained in harsh winter conditions. These exercises allowed them to strengthen essential skills, such as managing extreme conditions, while also contributing to the development of enhanced physical and mental resilience, preparing Canadian troops to face austere environments.
