January 31 at 15.20 on the area of the 41st School Aviation Base in Dęblin, the Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak signed on behalf of Poland an intergovernmental agreement (Letter of Acceptance, LoA) worth USD 4.6 billion (PLN 17.9 billion) for the delivery of 32 multi-role aircraft Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II. Deliveries will be made in 2024-2030.

Carbines Grot will be handed over to units notified by Poland to the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) as part of the NATO Response Force 2020 (including some subunits from the 6th Airborne Brigade and the 25th Air Cavalry Brigade). Subunits of the 6th Airborne Brigade and the 25th Air Cavalry Brigade that were not part of the VJTF are still using Beryl carbines. AK carbines are no longer used in first-line units other than for training recruits.

Huh and I thought quite a number of units, not just cream of the crop, would be fully equipped by this year. Nah it's fine, mine isn't great either.
