I've been away for 10 days and walk back into the flamefest that this thread has degenerated into! I'm not surprised that @Bombardier needed a pill and a little lie down.

You are ALL valued members of this site (until you prove otherwise) and should be acting like adults, giving respect to ALL our members even if you have a difference in opinion or belief.

This is an "image" thread on the Ukrainian Military, if you are not happy with its content then don't come into the thread, it's quite bloody obvious.

I have noticed that nobody is going into the Russian Military thread and casting bad opinions at anything there and I am sure there are strong opinions held by other members of our family here.

Start behaving like adults. If you want to discuss or make claims over something, make your own thread and be prepared to defend your opinion and point of view. Do not foul the image threads or flame/bait other members.

Some members are on the thin, slippery slope of taking an extended vacation from the site.

Take a hint: Accept other's point of view and grow up

July 29th is the Day of the Formation Special Operations Forces as a separate corps in the Ukrainian Military.

Poor quality photo, but this is the first time that I've seen the whole Special Forces team equipped with Tavor rifles.

I'll probably get a lot of "thumbs up" and "I told you so" from the "Russia stronk" crew, but I do find how this event was organized to be distasteful and, honestly disrespectful to the memory of those who fought against both, Nazism and Communism as servicemen and women of the Red Army, Soviet Partisans, members of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and various WWII and post-WWII resistance cells of diverse political affiliations.

It goes without saying that the remains of the fallen soldiers that were recovered should be buried with utmost respect regardless of the side they fought on almost 75 years later, but I find the presence of government representatives and soldiers of the Ukrainian armed forces as well as the flags of UPA and the State of Ukraine out of place at what should have been a somber, low key private ceremony.

It seems that the newly elected government doesn't want to deal with complicated Ukrainian history at all, allowing all the sides to do what they please despite having both, anti-Nazi and anti-Communist laws on the books that in my opinion should be harshly enforced.

Blast from the past, 5 years ago troops from the 93rd Infantry Brigade and Right Sector volunteers pushed the Russian forces out of the city of Avdiivka.
