A Special post on series of pics provided by respected Sir @Terry Reynolds who served aboard HMAS Canberra from where the glimpses of Russian battlecruiser Admiral Lazarev "Frunze" in 1985 have being captured from HMAS Canberra’s helo care of Aircrewman Rick Neville.

It can be seen Soviet Union battlecruiser "Frunze" leading a battle group in 1985 .

Frunze was took out of service in 1999 and since due to unavailability of funds for scrapping her , she remained moored on Vladivostok and than Abrek bay for minimal time till 2012 , its reported that she was unloaded from her Nuclear fuel and kept reserved in facility at the Chazhma Bay naval yard for reserved fleet currently.

When USS Independence encountered a full-rigged ship in 1962, the carrier signaled to ask the vessel to identify itself. “Training ship Amerigo Vespucci, Italian Navy,” was the response.“ Independence replied "You are the most beautiful ship in the world.”
