Just arrived for my collection today -

Romanian Order Of The Defense Of The Fatherland, II Class. RSR period. (1964-1989.)

Awarded to soldiers for defending the fatherland, also awarded to Romanian secret police. (Securitate.)

Fine enamel to the front. Some scratches to the rear, no doubt the ignorant trying to see is it pure silver content, hopefully will polish out.

Circa 51 mm top to bottom and 53 mm wide.
off.

I have a friend whose father collected a lot of things, including badges. True, she recently had a garage sale, sold a lot of stuff but in the basement there is still a long shelf full of folders of badges, including Soviet, Hungarian, etc., military and rating badges. I did some shopping there recently. If you are interested, I can give you her contact details.

The watch I wear every day is a Rotary I inherited from my Dad and it was my Grandad's before that. Am about to embark on a two week bender of beer and music festivals which will involve a lot of drinking and camping so thought it was best I buy a cheap watch to avoid loss or damage to the family one.

Went with one of the classics....

Just have realized that getting myself a GF (and soon to be wifey) was my most notable (expensive) purchase after four years. ?

She’s worth every penny but god damn… women are insanely smart in making us buy pricey stuffs every now and then.

You bought a girlfriend?

Is that legal in France?

Which festivals?

Surely not glatonbury......I'd nuke that place!

RockWerchter in Belgium and then the Hereford Beer Festival.

I did go to Glastonbury once, years ago - was good. Neil Young, The Prodigy, The Specials, Madness, Kasabian, Nick Cave, Spinal Tap...

Out of the blue, into the black?
