I have a friend whose father collected a lot of things, including badges. True, she recently had a garage sale, sold a lot of stuff but in the basement there is still a long shelf full of folders of badges, including Soviet, Hungarian, etc., military and rating badges. The watch I wear every day is a Rotary I inherited from my Dad and it was my Grandad's before that. Am about to embark on a two week bender of beer and music festivals which will involve a lot of drinking and camping so thought it was best I buy a cheap watch to avoid loss or damage to the family one.

That's actually a great watch. Wore one for a lot of years when railroading because it kept such accurate time. Very durable, too. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking! (metaphorically speaking, of course)
