Food & drink What are you drinking?

Just to put the cat amongst the pigeons because I think it'll be funny, this is an English single malt whisky.

From God's own country, Warwickshire - where all glorious things come from... That whisky, Shakespeare and me.

OOf, 46%, see you on Monday, Gaz.

It's tasty good and this is a hill I will die on when whisky aficionados come looking for me.
What’s it taste similar to?

Dunno really, I'm not a whisky nerd - I just know what I like. Tastes like tasty whisky.
Other ones in my house that I like this are several Highland Parks, Scapa, Tamnavulin, Talisker Skye, and probably a couple of Juras. If you like them I'd guess you'd like this, like me?

Sounds ok, tamnavulin and Jura are nice. Laphragog tastes like mouthwash, even when mixed with bells.

I like Laphroig. And Lagavulin. Smells like kippers and TCP but tastes like it came from the heavens.

Yes
That is an awesome looking pub!
Yes, it is very autentic with various good Czech beers and traditional old Czech meal (even the majority of the Czechs don't know it) and without Asian noodles and Arabic kebab and f***ing tourist... 🙂 and I like the big slogan in old Czech language style, translation: Let your haste, hustle, thirst and hunger end here.

It has been so hot lately that I’ve suddenly developed a taste for cold lighter (not Light, dammit) beers, lagers….

So, I’ve consumes a fair quantity of Pacifico and Coors Light the last week.

Now, it’s Friday night and I’ve got a bottle of Old Overholt Rye and some vermouth rosso. You know what that means!

A blood orange hefeweizen from Paso Robles California

It was quite enjoyable on a hot summer day. I think they hit the mark for a light hefeweizen and, Thank God, no hop-insanity!

One of younger daughter's spa clients left her a 6 pack of Busch peach beer. She didn't like it and left the rest in our fridge. Tried a can last night and... YUCK! I'll stick with Stella, thank you very much!

Couple of these this weekend, on hot and dry summer afternoons! Not my photograph, just a good example of color of ale and of the label.

(Oh, and some rye whisky... f'in whisky)

A very tasty, sturdy but not hwavy, Nebbiolo from Langhe Italy. Smashingly good on a cool summer evening with a steak and Gruyère sandwich, kale caesar salad with toasted chopped hazelnuts. First time with a Nebbiolo!
