I believe that James Flatly the Navy pilot who flew the carrier C-130 is the James Flatly who along with Lt. Cmd Thatch developed the Thatch Weave in WWII to overcome the Zero in the pacific

PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 15, 2020) An F-35C Lightning II from the “Argonauts” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 147 operate from the flight deck of Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Vinson is currently underway with Carrier Air Wing Two, fully integrating and operating together for the first time since the addition of the F-35C Lightning II. I know this is a really late reply, but, the tank as you probably know, is metal covered with composites. For some reason in pretty much every Super Hornet tank they didn't bother to make them smooth like in the legacy 18's. This is my former squadron by the way. BKR! '04-'08
